Lake and Camp
A fully equipped kitchen is provided for your use, wood barbeques adjacent to your tent gives the real camping flavour. A huge open fire and barbeque facility on the bank of the dam allows for group catering, or let us serve some or all of your meals. We specialise in Indian food and also home-cooked country style meals. You can dine in the dining room at the camp or in "The Rotunda" where the deer, antelope and kangaroos etc. can be viewed.

The Jungle Camp opened in  Spring 1999 with an idea of duplicating the tented camps in the national parks in India. Being born in India, and having a love of wildlife, it was easy for Chris Otto to  realise his vision of a similar camp. A mixture of Australian and Indian wildlife is on display  and  guests are encouraged to partcipate in the feeding and handling of them.

The Mitta Valley is one of the most scenic valleys in Victoria with wooded mountains and narrow vales that offer a tranquility that is hard to find anywhere.
Bharatralia Jungle Camp is situated in a secret place surrounded by bush teeming with wildlife but only 2 km from the hamlet of Mitta Mitta. Morning bush walks are a feature and you can  stop along the bush tracks and partake in a bush breakfast (sausage sizzle and billy tea) or lash out with champagne and chicken.
For the totally relaxed, just sit outside your tent and soak in the atmosphere, doze or read a book.  If the weather is inclement you can adjourn to the "Shikar Lodge" where you can lounge in comfort, beside a wood fire.

Your accommodation consists of luxurious weather-proof tents with a large permanent fly providing a verandah. The tents have sewn in floors, seagrass matting, real beds, fresh linen with cosy doonas, extra blankets, cane furniture and 12volt bedside light. Choose your tent with either single or double bed. Get that feeling of being on an adventure in some exotic location.
A seperate hot shower and flush toilet adds the final touch to your deluxe facilities.

Mitta Mitta has a golf course, tennis courts, general store, hotel, airstrip and a disused open cut gold mine that was once one of the largest of its kind in the world.  Lake Dartmouth  together with the river and adjacent streams offer magnificent boating and trout fishing.

Coach groups are catered for in "The Rotunda" with meals and/or morning and afternoon teas. Delicious Indian snacks are a speciality. Small groups, by prior arrangement, can indulge in sumptuous Indian banquets and dinners or enjoy traditional spit roasts.
Emu oil and souvenirs can be purchased.
