MITTA VALLEY EASTER ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW ESKDALE 2012

On the Easter Weekend at Eskdale the Mitta Valley Advancement Forum (MVAF) and Camera House Albury (CHA) sponsored the Mitta Valley Easter Art and Photography Show 2012.  In 2010 the First Show was held in Dartmouth Hall and 2011 it was held in Mitta Hall. This was an initiative put forward to encourage tourism through art and photography to showcase our beautiful valley and our talented residents.

After receiving a grant from the MVAF February this year The Mitta Masters Art Group took on a challenge to get the show on the road.  With the approval to use the Eskdale Hall we were off and running.  The call went out and entries came in from far and wide.  The Albury Art Society, Thurgoona Buds and Tallangatta to mention a few.  25 artist exhibited with a total of 90 works and 13 photographers, young and older exhibited with a total of 45 works.   It was also very encouraging to see the magnificent entries received from both Mitta Mitta and Eskdale school children.

The Eskdale Hall came up a treat with a wonderful amount of space and light to focus on the display.
