Record Visitor Numbers for Easter

A record number of visitors enjoyed the delights of the Mitta Valley during the Easter long weekend.
The Magorra Caravan Park was bursting at the seams and camping areas such as the Walnuts and Lightning Creek were jammed pack. Campers we also noted at many tranquil spots along Snowy Creek and the Mitta River.
There were two ambulance calls over the weekend, both for injured boys.

Pub News

The Laurel Hotel freehold has been sold and the new owners take control on 10th May.  There are plans downstream for extensive renovations at the rear of the hotel so that patrons may enjoy the wonderful Snowy Creek vista.

The Eskdale Hotel freehold has been advertised for sale.
